CEDRIC THE ENTERTAINER
The phrase tour de force has been applied more than a couple times to the 30-year-old French piano player CEDRIC TIBERGHIEN, who arrives at Merrill Auditorium for a 7:30 pm PCA Great Performance. It’s one of just three U.S. performances for the phenom on his current international circuit, and he’ll focus on pieces by Bartok and Brahms. FIVE ALIVE
Speaking of big Empire shows, one of Portland’s favorite pseudo-local bands, MISS FAIRCHILD, take to the venue at 9 pm with the release party for their new (download only) four-song EP, Won’t Be Your Kept Woman, which has been getting some nice Internet love in recent weeks.
